One of my favorite author's passed away, John Updike. he produced a great body of work during his lifetime and one of my favourite books is "Gertrude and Claudius". I love to read, when I was growing up I never appreciated books as I do now. Since I want this blog to be not just about the trials and 'joys' of my PhD quest but about the other things I enjoy, I will share from time to time other aspects of my life.


This is the book I'm currently reading "Black Girl in Paris".
I'm still working in my abstract for the Spain conference, I think that once I'm done I'll at least have some direction to this project.


I signed up for a 2009 Mini-Challenge- A Novel Challenge

today it should be interesting I wonder if they have these in the sciences too, I think it would be interesting and fun.
