I started this blog to share my ups and downs as a graduate student. Then my adventures as a newly minted Ph.D.navigating the world of research. Now I am no longer at the bench and this blog is dedicated just random things in my life that I thoroughly enjoy.

Deep down I am a developmental biologist at heart, I've sat through countless lectures and seminars on many different topics in biology. Yet only dev bio gets me really excited and my brain goes non-stop with all the things I would and could study, if I were to have my own lab. Now that I am about to graduate and am comtemplating what I want to do with a PhD. My career could go in any direction; stay in academia, go to industry or take a path less traveled and do something completely different. There are many things to ponder, many things. I have a thesis committee meeting coming up at the end of next month, a week before I go off to the conference. I have been looking at my original proposal for the last couple of days and have only managed to change one word, splenic to slpeen. I really need to get cracking.
